Southern California Addiction Center.(SCAC) is fully compliant with the HIPAA Standards for Privacy. SCAC has implemented policies, processes, and procedures designed to ensure compliance with Federal and State information security laws, regulations, and rules, and monitors ongoing compliance efforts and maintains various reporting mechanisms that are required by law or requested by its customers. SCAC recognizes that it is a key business partner with its customers and will continue to provide all of its various programs and services in accordance with the relevant requirements of all state and federal laws and regulations, including HIPAA. We understand that keeping our client’s information and identity safe is of the utmost importance, and we take this very seriously.
Everyone who is involved with SCAC and/or comes into one of the SCAC facilities is required to preserve the confidentiality of any and all information regarding patients, staff (in connection with their employment), and the business practice and this obligation shall continue indefinitely. Failure to maintain confidentiality may result in termination of your contract/work relationship, or other corrective action. This policy is intended to protect you as well as SCAC because in extreme cases, violations of this policy also may result in personal liability.
